Sonar Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2025

Our Commitment

Welcome to Sonar! This policy explains what specific information is collected and processed when you use the Sonar service (sonar.wr.io). This document is a supplement to the main WRIO Ltd. Ecosystem Privacy Policy, which governs all our services and details your full data protection rights.

What is Sonar's Role?

Sonar is a tool that allows our registered Users to create and send communications ("Pings") to other individuals ("Recipients") to get clear, one-click feedback.

In this relationship, our User is the Data Controller. They decide who to contact and are responsible for having a legal basis to do so. Sonar (WRIO Ltd) acts as the Data Processor, processing data on behalf of and as instructed by our User.

Information We Process for the Sonar Service

  1. User Account Data: To use Sonar, you must have a WRIO Ltd. Account. We use your email and name to manage your account and display your Pings on your personal dashboard.
  2. Service Data (Processed on Behalf of Our Users):
    • Recipient Information: When a User creates a Ping, they provide the Recipient's email address.
    • Response Data: When a Recipient clicks a response link (e.g., "Yes", "No"), we record the response, a timestamp, and the IP address of the Recipient.
    • Purpose: We use this Service Data solely to provide the core functionality of Sonar — generating unique links, tracking responses, and displaying the results on the User's dashboard. We do not use Recipient information for our own purposes.

User's Responsibility as Data Controller

By using Sonar to contact Recipients, You, the User, represent and warrant that you have a lawful basis (such as consent, legitimate interest, or performance of a contract) for collecting, sharing, and processing the Recipient data you provide to Us.

Recipient's Rights and Controls

We believe in empowering everyone. If you have received a Ping:

  • Right to Delete Your Response: The page you see after clicking a response link may offer you the option to permanently delete your response. This action is irreversible. The User who sent the Ping will see that the response was deleted but will not know what your original response was.
  • Global Unsubscribe: Every Ping communication includes an option to opt-out from receiving any future Pings sent through the Sonar service.
